Leavenworth, Kan.—Spire volleyball faced a tough loss against Bethel College Threshers on Senior Day on Saturday, November 1st at Ryan Sports Center in Leavenworth, Kansas. Despite a valiant effort, the Spires fell 3-1 in their last match on their home court for the 2025 season.
In the first set, Bethel College established dominance early on, securing a 25-18 victory. The Spires bounced back in a strong way in the second set with a convincing 25-14 win, showcasing their resilience and adapting their strategy effectively. However, the next two sets saw Bethel College regain their form, winning 25-17 and 25-19, thus sealing their victory in the match.

Chloe Byrd, who led with 12 kills and 6 blocks, and fellow senior Spire
Ainsley Gardner, who contributed 11 kills.
MJ Stephens also added significant firepower with 8 kills. In the defensive department, senior
Gabby Kurle stood out with 18 digs, supported by
Daniela Rivera-Perez and
Addison Baker, who each added 10 digs. Rivera-Perez also delivered the team's sole ace of the day.
