The Spires volleyball team continued on their winning streak with yet another five-set thriller at the Park U. tournament, coming out on top against the Oklahoma City University Stars (25-21, 15-25, 25-21, 22-25, 15-11).
 
After taking the first set, USM battled back-and-forth with no signs of slowing down after the long weekend. The Spires came out on top in the final set, but it was a whole team effort leading up to the final point, Chloe Byrd lead the team again with 17 kills, with teammates MJ Stephens and Sophia Frerking following close behind with 16 and 11 kills respectively. Emma Murphy came up big at the net recording 5 blocks with a few familiar names, Byrd and Frerking putting themselves in yet another stat column recording 3 and 2 blocks. Sophomore Morgan Herrera had herself a day, notching 32 assists on the match with freshman teammate Addison Baker recording 18 assists.
 
The Spires will be back in action for their home opener on Tuesday August 26^th at 7:00 P.M at Ryan Sports Center.
