Lawrence, Kan.- The University of Saint Mary Men's and Women's Cross-Country team took the top spots again at the Billy Mills Classic at Haskell. Spire women (5K) posted a team score of 18 placing in 1
st, 2
nd, 3
rd, 5
th, and 7
th place, while the men (8K) posted a team score of 26 placing in 3
rd, 4
th, 5
th, 6
th, and 8
th place.
The Spires have shown consistent improvement in their times and team coordination, taking this as yet another opportunity to work on the little things before they move into their last three biggest meets of the year.
The next event at Platte River Park promises an exciting opportunity for the Spires to showcase their skills and training progress in a competitive setting. The team is engaging in focused preparation routines, aiming to achieve peak performance levels for the upcoming meet. The team is now preparing for their upcoming competition, the NAIA Blazing Tiger at Platte River Park, scheduled for Saturday, October 25
th in Omaha, Nebraska.
