Wichita, Kan. – The University of Saint Mary women's basketball team came up short in a loss Saturday night to Friends University, 66-61.
The Spires are now 4-13 overall and 3-11 KCAC.
GAME FLOW
After a relatively close first quarter, the Falcons were able to roll into halftime with a 14 point lead, 36-22. The Spires came out hot in an effort to take the lead in the second half, as Rachel Newquist led the way for the Spires scoring a career high 20 points and had five rebounds. After commanding the third quarter, the Spires came up short in the end. Two other players scored in double digits, Tiani White and Sienna Brown each had 10 points.
