Women's Basketball Slams York, Earns #4 Seed for KCAC Tournament

The Saint Mary women's basketball team finished one point shy of the century mark in a 99-50 win over York on Saturday afternoon. It was the regular season finale for the Spires and they finish the season 17-11 overall and 14-8 in KCAC play. The Spires finish the season in a three way tie for second place in the conference but will be the #4 seed in the KCAC Tournament.

Saint Mary outscored York 31-8 in the first quarter and never looked back in the win. Saint Mary scored 30 or more points in each of the first three quarters before settling for the 99-50 win. Candy De Los Reyes led the Spires with 28 points. Four other Spires scored in double figures as well. Kiera Tate scored 13 points. Ashey Hinkle added 11. Tiani White and Janae Barnes each finished with 10. Morgan Bromell led Saint Mary in rebounds with nine.

The Spires will host Sterling at in the opening round of the KCAC Tournament at 7pm on Wednesday night. The teams split their regular season matchups. Sterling is the #5 seed in the bracket.
