Men's Basketball Tangles With Sterling Tuesday

LEAVENWORTH, Kan. – The University of Saint Mary men's basketball team (1-5, 1-2 KCAC) will look to jump ahead in the KCAC standings when they host Sterling College inside the Ryan Sports Center Tuesday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for Monday, but due to inclement weather the game has been moved to Tuesday.

THE MATCHUP
Sterling College:
The Warriors enter the game with a 1-3 overall record and 1-2 mark in the KCAC. The Warriors are tied with the Spires in the conference standings. Most recently Sterling fell 86-75 to Kansas Wesleyan on Nov. 20. Keyshawn McMahon leads the team with 12.8 points per game and 20 total assists, while JaMiah Windom-Haynes has 11.8 points. He and Edo Okafor are tied for the team lead with 7.8 rebounds. Windom-Haynes is also the team's top shooter with a 45.7 field goal percentage.

Saint Mary: The Spires are coming off an 89-66 loss on the road against No. 6 Oklahoma Wesleyan on Nov. 20. Raylon Howard leads the team with 13.8 points per game, while Dan Hailey has a team high 6.5 rebounds. Teyvon Lundy leads the team with 16 total assists and 10 steals.

SERIES HISTORY
Saint Mary is 11-18 overall against the Warriors and has won the last three matchups against them. In the last meeting, the Spires defeated the Warriors 89-72 on Jan. 17, 2018.
