The Saint Mary volleyball team took a four set loss at Tabor on Friday night. The loss puts the Spires at 4-8 on the season and 2-2 in KCAC play.
Saint Mary would drop the first two sets of the match 25-21 and 25-11 respectively. The Spires battled back to earn a victory in a tough third set by a final of 27-25. Saint Mary continued to battle in the fourth set, but came up short as Tabor took the match wiith a 25-22 score in the fourth set.
Allyssa Koki continued to play strong on the defensive side of the court. With 29 digs in the loss to Tabor, Koki moved her dig total to 111 in three matches for the week. Maleka Benjamin and Bianca Asheim each had a block assist defensively as well.
Benjamin and Asheim led the attack with 10 kills each. Kaitlynn Lanier added seven kills. Brittani Pascua had 29 assists and 11 digs from the setter position.
The Spires are back in action tonight against Friends at 7pm.
