Imani White Named KCAC Defensive Player of the Week

The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) announced the KCAC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. Imani White from the Saint Mary women's basketball team was selected as the winner. The honor is voted upon by sports information directors in the KCAC. The Spires went 1-1 in KCAC play last week behind two solid performances from White.

White had a fantastic week for the Spires on both ends of the floor. The Omaha, Neb. native opened the week with a 26 point, six rebound effort in a win over Kansas Wesleyan. White was solid on the defensive end for the Spires as she grabbed four defensive rebounds, forced two steals, and had two blocks. She finished the week with a double-double in an 82-78 loss at (RV) Oklahoma Wesleyan, pulling down a game-high 11 rebounds while scoring 13 points. White pulled down six of her rebounds on the defensive end. She also had two more blocks and a steal in the game. White finishes the week with 17 rebounds (10 defensive), four blocked shots, and three steals all while scoring 39 points in two games played.
