Saint Mary volleyball earned their fourth win of the season on Friday with a five set victory over Bethel (29-27, 19-25, 18-25, 25-18, 15-13). The Spires are now 4-9 on the season and in the KCAC.
Kaitlynn Lanier led the Saint Mary attack with 15 kills in the match. Gabby Hacker finished with 11 kills and Maleka Benjamin had 10. The Spires finished with 52 kills in 161 attacks. They made 31 attack errors. Bethel finished with 55 kills in 185 attacks and made 30 attack errors. Danielle Dowdy facilitated the Spires' attack with 42 assists.
Defensively, the Spires were led by Paige Brandt who finished with 23 digs. Allyssa Koki had 14 digs while Annie Beck finished with 13. Lanier had four blocks for Saint Mary.
Tonight, Saint Mary will host Sterling in another KCAC matchup at 7pm. The Spires fell to the Warriors in four sets earlier this season.
