Jamison Carmichael enters his eighth year with the University of Saint Mary.

The 2024-2025 season marked one of the most successful years in Saint Mary basketball history. The team posted a 22-10 overall record and a 16-6 record in the conference while also winning the KCAC Conference Tournament Title and earning a bid to the NAIA National Tournament.

Before Saint Mary, Jamison spent time at Hawaii Pacific University (DII), Baker University (NAIA) and Southern Methodist University (DI).

Jamison graduated from The University of Kansas and obtained his Masters Degree from Baker University.

Throughout his career he has coached 2 All-Americans, 16 All-Conference players and 18 Academic All-Conference players.

Jamison was born and raised in Manhattan, Kansas and is the son of Janelle and Dan Russell. His wife Brittany is a PACU nurse.
