Topeka, Kan.—Spire Swimming played host at an away location in Cap Fed Natatorium in Topeka, Kansas this past Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, hosting competitors such as Southwest Baptist University, William Jewell College, Rockhurst University, University of Nebraska Kearney, Oklahoma Christian University, and Barton Community College.

After a stellar weekend of swimming, your Spire women's team is now ranked #7 nationally in championship points, while the men's team is ranked at #17! 
 
The Spires capped off the long three-day fight with the women finishing in third place overall after each day, accumulating a total of 557 points and the men landing in fourth place each day of competition, tallying a total of 380 points. Both Spire swim teams performed exceptionally well against a few tough Dll competition. The Spires achieved numerous NAIA "B" cuts and recorded multiple lifetime best scores, but beyond those accomplishments, the team showed outstanding performances across the board and worked hard all weekend for one another. USM swim will take a much needed--and well deserved-- Thanksgiving break and prepare to be back in action at home in Leavenworth at Lansing HS on Saturday, December 6th at 5:00 p.m.
