KANSAS — Spire Cross Country swept this weeks vote with Derebe Carr being named KCAC Cross Country Men's Runner of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. Student-athletes are selected for their performances from Oct. 6-12 by a vote of conference Sports Information Directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.

Carr set an All-Time USM Freshman Record in the 8K at the Allen Community College Firestarter meet last week, finishing in third place with a time of 25:20. The freshman from Lee's Summit, Missouri has continued to excite the Spires with how his training and preparation has translated into success in his young career.
