ATLANTA, Ga. - The University of Saint Mary women's flag football team split their slate of games on Thursday, at the NAIA Invitational. The Spires fell to Webber International (Fla.) 35-16 in their first contest before defeating Milligan University 54-7 in their final game of the day.
After the first day, the Spires sit in a four-way tie for fourth place in the standings at the Invitational.

Saint Mary is scheduled to take on Xavier University (La.) today at 1 p.m. If the Spires win, they will advance to play the winner of Kansas Wesleyan/Milligan at 3:15 p.m.
