Parkville, Mo. – The University of Saint Mary women's soccer team captured a win in their second road game, 1-0 to Park University Saturday afternoon at Julian Field. The Spires are now 1-1 on the season.

The Spires struck first with a goal by Anna Soetaert to go up 1-0 six minutes into the game.

Saint Mary took five total shots, while Park had 21 total shots. The Spires defense was able to hold on to secure the victory.

Goalkeeper Lauryn Airy had eight saves in the match for Saint Mary.

The Spires return to action Tuesday, when they host Manhattan Christian College at Berkel Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
