LEAVENWORTH, Kan. – The University of Saint Mary women's soccer team faced its toughest opponent yet in No. 3 ranked Benedictine College, falling 7-1 at Berkel Memorial Stadium.
Saint Mary is 0-2 overall, while Benedictine is 3-0-1 to on the year.
GAME FLOW
The match got off to a fast paced start as Benedictine scored two goals in the first 11 minutes. The Spires cut the deficit to 2-1 however, when Justine Brown-DaCosta got behind the Ravens' defense and scored from five yards out.
Benedictine would add another goal in the first half and take a 3-1 lead at halftime.
Benedictine would go on to score four more goals in the match and win 7-1.
