Coach Lorenzen became head coach in October 2007. Prior to arriving in Leavenworth, Lorenzen served as the head coach at Jackson Community College in Jackson, MI, where she started the first softball team for the college in over twenty-five years.

A native of Machesney Park, IL, Lorenzen played her collegiate years at Kentucky Wesleyan College. At KWC, Lorenzen played both tennis and softball for the Panthers. As a four year starter in softball, Lorenzen holds many career records and single season records. Lorenzen graduated from Kentucky Wesleyan College in 1997 with a degree in business administration and went on to graduate from Austin Peay State University in with a degree in Health and Human Performance Education.
