Jay Osborne was proud to return to his alma mater when he accepted the position of offensive coordinator for the University of Saint Mary Spires Football Team. He brings experience as a college, high school, and professional coach to the Spires staff and team.
Upon graduation from USM, Coach Osborne accepted a position with McMurry University in Abilene, Texas, coaching receivers and running backs. After working two years for McMurry, Coach Osborne accepted the role of offensive coordinator for the Bergamo Lions in Bergamo, Italy. Upon returning to the U.S., Coach Osborne worked one year with the Bryan Vikings, a division 5A high school in Bryan, Texas as receivers coach. He helped the Vikings to a playoff birth and his offense averaged more than 30 points and 350 yards a game.
Coach Osborne was a four-year starter and letterman as a wide-receiver and return specialist for the Spires from 2003-2006. He earned All-Conference honors in 2006 as a receiver and return specialist. Osborne was the first Saint Mary Spire to return a kickoff for a touchdown, and the 97-yard return is still currently the longest in school history. He finished his career with over 100 receptions and 11 touchdowns.
Osborne holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from USM and a Master’s in Leadership Sciences from Southwestern University.
A native of Conroe, Texas, Coach Osborne now lives in Leavenworth with his wife Dawn.

Jhon was proud to return to his alma mater when he accepted the position of offensive line and head strength coach for the University of Saint Mary Spires Football Team. He brings experience as a college football and strength coach to the Spires staff and team.
Upon graduation from USM, Coach Haehn moved to North Caroline and taught and coached at Woodlawn Middle School in Mebane, North Carolina. After a year coach Haehn was activated for operation Iraqi Freedom and served 10 months in Iraq as a military liaison and trained Iraqi police officers. Upon returning to the U.S., Coach Haehn accepted the Graduate assistant position at the University of Saint Mary where he coached defensive line and ran in season strength program. He then moved on to the University of Iowa where he worked as an intern strength coach for track, softball, baseball and volleyball.
Coach Haehn started his college playing career includes Coffeyville Community College, Oklahoma Panhandle State University, and the University of Saint Mary. He played linebacker, defensive line and special teams.
Haehn holds a Bachelor’s in History and Secondary Education from USM and a Master’s in Education from USM.
A native of Hugoton, Kansas, Coach Haehn now lives in Leavenworth with his Daughter Brooke.
