Head Coach Rob Miller has been at the helm of the Spire baseball program since 2002.
A native of Garnett, Kan., Miller began coaching in 1986 with the American Legion program in Garnett. He then moved to Leavenworth to become the head coach at Leavenworth High School in 1993. After five competitive seasons with the Pioneers, Miller entered the collegiate ranks in 1998 as the assistant head coach/pitching coach at Missouri Western State College in St Joseph, Mo. Miller worked at MWSC for three seasons, improving the pitching squad from ninth in the MIAA Conference to third in total team earned run average.

During his first two seasons at USM, the program showed dramatic improvement. His record stands at 138-140-1, earning the program's first winning season in 2004, and the first KCAC Tournament Championship in 2005. Along with the many positive accomplishments on the field, the Spires also take pride in higher academic production as well as many college and community service experiences.

Miller's experience in teaching and coaching provides a strong foundation for the Spire baseball program. "I expect a strong work ethic and I promote positive values both on and off the playing field," Miller said. "The University of Saint Mary provides a quality learning atmosphere where student-athletes are given many opportunities to excel. I am pleased to be at Saint Mary."
