Cheer and Dance - Mon, Feb. 15, 2016

Saint Mary cheer and dance competed at the KCAC Cheer and Dance Competition this weekend with the cheer team placing second out of six teams and the cheer team increasing their conference score by 14 points and having the least amount of deductions in their performances this season.

Ottawa, Tabor, Bethel, Sterling, Kansas Wesleyan, and Saint Mary competed at the event. The dance team finished just three points behind first place Ottawa. "Both teams continue to impress me. We practice hard this week and put in extra hours to prepare. I couln't be more proud of their success," said Head Coach Morgan Conrad.

The cheer and dance team will compete at the NAIA South Regional Qualifier on Friday, Feburary 19 at Oklahoma City University. The preliminary rounds begin at 12pm with the finals to follow immediately afterward.
