Men's Cross Country - Mon, Oct. 9, 2017

The Saint Mary men's cross country team ran another outstanding race on Saturday at the Fort Hays Open. The Spires placed seventh out of 19 teams in the Gold Division. The Gold Division was made up of all NCAA Division II schools with the exception of NAIA #11 Saint Mary and #10 Missouri Valley.

The Spires topped #10 Missouri Valley and 11 other NCAA Division II schools en route to their 7th place finish. Tony Weber was the first Spire to cross the finish line as he finished 11th out of 167 runners in the 8k race. Right behind Weber was Phillip Lagemann in 14th place with a time of 25:55.

The Spires put every runner in the top 100 at the race, claiming 11th, 14th, 35th, 57th, 82nd, 95th and 99th place. Tegan Michael finished 35th at 26:37, Christian Graham was 57th at 27:06. You can find a complete list of results here.

Saint Mary will be back in action in two weeks at the NAIA Seminole Valley meet on October 21 in Mount Mercy, IA.
