The Saint Mary volleyball team earned a straight set victory over York on Saturday. Following the KCAC matchup, the Spires fell to Dakota Wesleyan in straight sets. Saint Mary is now 10-10 on the season and 7-5 in KCAC play. They currently sit in sixth place of the KCAC Standings.

In the win over York. Saint Mary got out to a strong start jumping out to a 9-4 lead in the first set and going on for a 25-19 victory. Saint Mary got out to another early lead en route to a 25-23 win in the second set. The third set stayed tight until late in the set. The Spires would lead 22-21 before finishing off the match with a 25-23 win in the third set.

Maleka Benjamin and Kaitlynn Lanier each finished with a team high 13 kills in the win. Whitney Rock provided 36 assists. Katy Koepke led in digs with 21. Marissa Martin had 13 digs. Lanier added five block assists as well.

In the second game of the day, the Spires fell in three sets falling 25-22, 25-21, and 25-7.

The Spires are back in action tonight when they host College of Saint Mary at 6pm.
