Saint Mary women's soccer took a 3-0 loss to Ottawa on Saturday for Homecoming. The loss drops the Spires to 5-5-1 on the season and 1-3 in KCAC play. The three losses for Saint Mary have come against three teams in the top five of the KCAC Standings.

Ottawa would get out to a fast start with two goals in the opening 26 minutes. From there, the Spires settled in and did not allow another goal until the 75th minute of the match. The Spires fired off five shots, two coming on goal, but could not find the back of the net.

Emilie Korenek played the first half in goal allowing two goals and making two saves. Jessica Ramirez entered goal in the second half and made nine saves and allowed one goal. After getting off just one shot in the first half, the Spires got off four shots in the second. Megan McMillen led the way with two shots, both coming on goal.

Saint Mary will be back in action on Wednesday at York. The game is scheduled for 1pm. York is 5-4-2 on the season and 2-1-1 in KCAC play.
