The Saint Mary women's soccer team evened their KCAC record at 1-1 with a 2-1 victory over Bethel on Saturday. The Spires are now 5-3-1 on the season.

The teams remained scoreless through the first 39 minutes of play, but Bethel would take a 1-0 lead in the 40th minute and take the 1-0 lead into halftime.

The Spires evened the score when Erica Hornbuckle found the back of the net off an assist from Amanda Martin in the 60th minute. Natasha Webster netted the game winning goal for the Spires in the 78th minute and the Spires would hold on for a 2-1 win.

Emilie Korenek played all 90 minutes in goal making one save and allowing on goal in earning the win. The Spires outshot the Threshers 21-3 in the match.

Saint Mary will be back in action on Wednesday at Oklahoma Wesleyan. The match is scheduled to begin at 5:30pm. Oklahoma Wesleyan is 7-1-1 overall and 2-0 in KCAC play.
