The Saint Mary men's soccer team earned their second win of the season on Tuesday night over Manhattan Christian. The Spires evened their record at 2-2 with the win.

Enrique Gonzales was almost perfect in goal making four saves and allowing one goal. The Spires jumped out to a 2-1 lead by halftime. Jay Willcutt opened the scoring for the Spires with a goal in the eighth minute. Jesus Rangel provided the second score for Saint Mary, he was assisted by Branden Sanchez.

Sanchez added two goals in the second half. He finished with two goals and two assists in the match. Tyler Novotney sent home the final goal in the 78th minute to give Saint Mary the 5-1 victory.

The Spires look to build on the win when they travel to Papillion, NE on Friday to take on Nebraska Christian at 2pm. Nebraska Christian is 0-4 on the season.
