The Saint Mary women's soccer team faced their biggest challenge of the season on Tuesday night at Charles J. Berkel Memorial Stadium. The Spires took on (RV) Central Methodist.

The Eagles, who are receiving votes for the NAIA Top 25 Coaches Poll, scored three times in each half to best the Spires 6-0. Sara Ruiz-Payan was tested often in goal and made eight saves in the loss. Erica Hornbuckle and Paige Nagy both got shots on goal in the match for Saint Mary, but the Spires couldn't find the back of the net.

Saint Mary looks to rebound from back to back losses when they head north this weekend. The Spires will take on Nebraska Christian College in Papillion, NE. Nebraska Christian is 0-2 on the season. The match will take place on Friday at 2pm.
