Leavenworth, KS- The University of Saint Mary Football Program is excited to announce it's 2017 schedule of games.  The schedule is potentially the most difficult the program has played to date.  In the NAIA preseason polls, four opponents are ranked in the NAIA Top 20. The Spires open the 2017 season at home, in Charles J. Berkel Memorial Stadium, versus Trinity Bible College on August 26th at Noon.  Highlighting the schedule that includes 6 home games, is a difficult opening five games, where Dakota Wesleyan (September 2), Kansas Wesleyan (September 16), and Tabor (September 30) are expected to be ranked in the NAIA Top 20.  Saint Mary's game versus Dakota Wesleyan is a part of the KCAC-GPAC Challenge and will be the first ever night game on campus at the University of Saint Mary.  The Kansas Wesleyan game will be played in Salina, but will have a number of intriguing storylines, as it not only is the KCAC opener for both teams, but also will be a rematch of the final game of the 2016 season where Saint Mary upset the #10 ranked Coyotes.  Saint Mary will look to topple perrenial KCAC power Tabor on September 30.  The Spires have not beaten Tabor since 2011.

Saint Mary will welcome the Bethany Swedes to town on October 7 for Homecoming, before hitting the road to face off against Bethel and Ottawa in back-to-back weeks.   The Spires will celebrate Senior Day on November 4 versus Sterling College at 1:30 PM.  The 2017 Regular Season finale will be at Southwestern College in Winfield on November 11, 2017.

Be sure to check for accurate game times, as they are subject to change.
